You know what I wish that people would say more in these conversations? Cite your sources. That Republican dude kept saying “No, you’re wrong, women make more than men” and I wanted him to say where he gets that information. Anyone can throw out any number anytime. Cite. Your damn. Sources.

Politifact, you are fired. You are a mess. You are fired. You are undermining the definition of the word ‘fact’ in the English language by pretending to it in your name. The English language wants its word back. You are an embarrassment. You sully the reputation of anyone who cites you as an authority on factishness, let alone fact. You are fired.

Thank goodness they’re giving Melissa her own show. I don’t like it when she subs for Rachel, but she’s obviously smart and awesome. I think the TRMS writing just does not suit her personal style. When Chris Hayes subs he does much better because he’s got the same kind of smart snark vibe Rachel has. Melissa is more the straight shooting smart type.
