Dear Social Justice Tumblr, 

Remember when Laci Green told you that social justice tumblr was basically equivalent to social justice on crack? Well…. you guys searched for her. Like you were in high school. You guys told her to kill herself. Like you were in high school. And it’s embarrassing, because aren’t MOST of you grown ass women? If you don’t like her views, then don’t like them. But saying rude shit to someone is so unnecessary oh my god.

Harassing, stalking, and threatening people will definitely make others sympathetic to your crusade for *snerk* justice.

How the fuck is this justice? This is bullying. The SJ crowd should be fucking ashamed of themselves and denounce the people who perpetrate this as bullies and thugs.

My dash is full of the bloggers who get dismissed as “social justice” denouncing the person who did this. And then pointing out that being the target of a stalker who’s using “social justice” as an excuse doesn’t change the legitimate criticisms they’ve been leveling at her.

I’d bet money that the person who did this also harasses trans* people and people of color. They just saw a convenient target and figured it was open season on her. That’s not the fault of people who wanted an actual apology for her dropping “tranny” all over her apology for using the word in the first place, or the people who called out her Islamophobia.

(Funny thing: notice that the first poster up above refers to “saying rude things” as the problem. She was stalked and threatened in real life. Conflating that with “saying rude things” is just… well, it’s really symptomatic of the basic problem here.)
