Why do all the New Who companions have to have some mystical destiny? Child of the TARDIS, most important woman in the universe, etc. I miss the old days when we could identify with our companions and they didn’t need a tragic story/backstory.’

But I want y’all to notice something: the companions in NewWho that all have this special destiny stuff? All. White. ALL.
Also: it’s just super unimaginative. It’s the same over and over and over.
The new companion will be the same. We’ll find out that she’s the daughter of the son of the TARDIS and was specially made in a bottle in order to be the Doctor’s wife once River gets stuck in the Library.
